Out of Cordoba

April 20, 2015

Thanks to everyone who came to the LEM table at the CPW midway and made it such a fun experience. (Ka-pow!) Personally, I had a lot of fun dancing to the Korean music coming from the table next to us. I also learned that you always make the state of Michigan with your right hand (No. Your other right hand.) so that people can show you where they live.

Whether or not you knew that fact about Michigan geography, you can join us on Wednesday for worship at 5:15 in the Chapel and for dinner around 6:30 in W11. I’m getting the impression that we are finding ways to engage more of our senses and selves in worship. If that’s not the case, I just ramped up the pressure for Kari Jo. She’ll thank me later.

This coming Sunday, Christ Church (the Episcopal church in Harvard Square) will host a viewing of Out of Cordoba, a documentary about Averroes and Maimonides as well as the medieval, multi-religious Spanish culture that produced both and  its reflections today. The film starts at 5:30 and Christ Church will host a dinner and discussion afterwards.
