While the original projected date for re-opening the chapel passed, it turns out that I have the opportunity to practice humility early this Lent. I had little faith that the chapel would actually be open in February (or by the end of the academic year). If I recall, my exact words were “Lies! Lies!”, which some may construe as uncharitable towards the team tasked with renovating the chapel. It turns out that they were more right than I was. So, we will worship at 5:15 on Wednesday in the Chapel (W15). Thanks to everyone who accomplished this project reasonably on time given the weather! (Not that any of them will really know that I’m thanking them, but it’s the thought, right?)

That means that we will have dinner in the Main Dining Room of W11 (where we have been worshipping) because the Totally Cool Catholics will use the Chapel for Adoration. And there will less hauling of stuff for everyone. And there was much rejoicing! (Though some saved the rejoicing until the fourth week of Lent when said rejoicing is canonically sanctioned.)
